EDUCATION & BACKGROUND

Carlos began studying creative & performing arts in Jacksonville, Florida, at LaVilla School of the Arts, Douglas Anderson School of the Arts, multiple dance studios, and Jacksonville University. Without bias towards any particular dance style, he trained in ballet, jazz, modern, hip-hop, world dance, and acrobatics, with the perspective of learning dance as a technique, art, and sport. The production art of stage, theater, and entertainment was evenly integrated into his education. With a talent to artistically interpret his practices, he becomes a skillfully versatile dancer and creative artist.
Carlos' movement training began as a martial artist studying Taekwondo. The athletic and artistic ability he was able to express led him to train in the performing arts.
EDUCATOR, TEACHER, COACH
In the beginning of Carlos' career, he recognized his passion and talent as a dance teacher, artistic instructor, lecturer, movement coach, and overall educator. He believes these roles to be of utmost importance and continues to work with and guide students.
Carlos has had incredible opportunities to share his knowledge and talents at Steps On Broadway and Broadway Dance Center in New York City, hundreds of dance studios, public schools, colleges & universities, and dance events, and his own institutionalized programs including the Dancelook Apprentice Program, and Dancelook Intensive.
